Our Processor

We are proud to use an independent, family owned & operated processing plant in Seward, IL –¬†Eickman’s Processing. Established in 1953, Eickman’s combines excellent butchery with a dedication to humane & clean processing. Eickman’s employs 29 individuals and processes on a much smaller scale than a conventional processor. They specialize in custom meats and also have a retail store on premise. We love the custom attention we get from the Eickman family and staff, and appreciate all that they do to bring our meats to your table. In fact, Jaime (pictured) and his team butcher ALL of our pigs. If you’ve eaten our pork chops, then you have Jaime to thank! Other team members handle our smoked meats, beef, lambs and we are so thankful to know the folks who butcher our meat by name. Small processors are key to the future of sustainable and humane livestock production, and we are happy to support all that Eickman’s Processing does for our farm and other small farms in Northern Illinois.¬†

A few words from our customers.

I purchase a supply of meats, chicken, and eggs from the farm once a month. I have tried everything from leg of lamb to ground beef to bacon and pork roast. These are the best meat products I have ever enjoyed. It makes me feel good to know that the meats and eggs from Hasselmann Farm are safe and that the animals are humanely treated. Elizabeth
