Located in the Heart of Northern Illinois is our cozy farm store. Our goal is for you to feel right at home! Many customers call our farm their “little getaway,” as it’s a nice break to be in the country and see our animals living their best lives! From cows prancing in the pastures to piglets snuggling up against their mom, to geese following your car as you arrive, it’s a wonderful place to be! At Hasselmann Farm, you’ll be welcomed and treated like family. Our employees (some of whom are animals; see our beloved Meisje pictured below) love getting to know you all. Don’t forget to ask our employees to see sweet Meisje. NOTE: Meisje loves chin scratches; Do with that what you will… 😉

We have a wide variety of products in our store. From meat and eggs to soap, we have it all! All our meat and eggs come from cattle, pigs, sheep, and chickens raised right here on our farm! Other products are from small, local, family-owned businesses like ours! Make sure to visit us to see all we have to offer.

Wow! We ordered a quarter pig as a Christmas present for ourselves last year and wasn't sure what we were going to get because it was a mix, but each and every piece was delicious! I'm looking forward to my next order. Thanks again!

My favorite place for meat and eggs. Having made a lame attempt at going meatless, I decided to confine my meat purchases to more humanely raised animals. This way, they have only one bad day (just like us) instead of a lifetime of bad days. Couldn't be happier - Hasslelmann's is great.

Thank you Hasselmann family for raising and slaughtering animals the old-fashioned way. . . with loving kindness, good environmental practices, and
humane slaughtering. Your farm is beautiful; a quintessential example of what I wish was the standard in American rather than the inhumane practices of factory farming for profit. And, your meat and service are great!

This is what food is supposed to be. Free of chemicals and pesticides. Tastes amazing. When I was there, the ducks were running around having a lot of fun. Healthy farming practices means that you are getting healthy food and a healthy you. Thank you Hasselmann Family Farm for caring enough to take the extra step. p.s. the Jowl bacon is the best. Great source of Vitamin D

Excellent beef, chicken and lamb. All their brats are very good. Jalapeño Swiss and Maple are our favorites! Duck and chicken eggs are excellent. It’s so nice to be able to peel an egg and 1/2 the white isn’t gone. Staff are always very nice and helpful. Scott the owner is very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions! We only buy our meat here now. Chickens are free range and beef is grass fed! So glad this farm is close by!!! They also offer delivery to certain areas.

Always friendly and has great quality meat. They were also closed one day and I called to ask for meat for the holiday weekend and they happened to be there they told me I could come in quick to get my meat. Great customer service over all !

I’ve been buying eggs and beef from this farm for years via my local farmer’s market. It’s important to me that my beef is not only grass fed but also grass finished.

You might be surprised at how hard to find a farm that practices grass finishing but I am glad I did with Hasselmannn.

This past winter, my parents and my husband and I splurged on a beef quarter to split between and I am hooked. We’ve had friends ask about where we bought our meat from (after us cooking steaks for dinner) and I sent them home with some of the froze. ground beef and stew meat as a “sampler”.

Thank you to the Hasselmann family for continuing to provide top quality care to the animals and for sharing that with the rest of us. My family appreciates all of the hard work, truly.

If you want superior eggs and meat products, Hasselmann Farm is where you get them. We used to get our meat and eggs from Scott for many years, but have moved to Colorado three years ago and missed it ever since. After trying several local farmers, we finally gave up and resorted to buying our products in stores. Nothing really compares to the quality and taste of Scott’s products. Not to mention the benefits of pasture raised meat. Recently we just so happen to be in Chicago and came back home with over $1000 worth of meat😁😍😄 We feel like Christmas arrived early! Just made some meatballs and we all marveled at how good they tested (and no, it’s not my cooking). And did I mention the integrity and values of the whole family?! We really miss being able and drop in and spend some time on the Hasselmann Farm. It was always so relaxing... our daughter is still talking about going to the farm and picking eggs. We are well stocked for the winter but will be making arrangements to get meat from Scott exclusively.

When I visit this place to buy meat and eggs for my family, I am reassured that every animal is content. All animals there have the respect of Scott and his family, and they add another factor...they really love them. This farm takes animal welfare to the next level, despite the enormous amount of extra work. The animals are even processed in a nearby, very small, family-owned plant. The individual welfare of each animal is considered in a way that is hard to find these days. Considering all this, the prices are absolutely fantastic!

Was looking around to buy some high quality meat ,and stumbled across Hasselmann Family farm.I am definitely glad I found this farm,because they have great tasting meats that are raised in a safe and healthy way.You will immediately feel the difference between their meat and most grocery stores meats,yes that includes even so called "organic meats".

Unlike some other farms,they deliver to your place(free delivery if you order at least $125 in products),which is an added bonus.I already ordered a Thanksgiving turkey,and am looking forward to trying more delicious meats from them.
